Ro-Boost SMEs Consortium, whose coordinator is West Regional Development Agency, organized during 21-22 of April 2015, as a member of the Enterprise Europe Network (Enterprise Europe Network – EEN), a decentralized training sessiondedicated to those who became members of the network from 1 January 2015. 40 new members of the European network, from England, Bosnia and Herzegovina,Germany, Poland and Romania participated in this session, which took place at the City Business Centre Timisoara.
The speakers within the event were: Mr. Sorin MAXIM – Director General of West RDA – organization acting as coordinator of the RO-BOOST SMEs consortium, Mr. Sven SCHADE – Policy Officer, DG Growth, European Commission, Mrs. Darina BOTSOVA – Project Officer, Executive Agency for Small and Mediu-sized Enterprises, European Commission, Ms. Gabriele HANISCH – EEN Baden-Württemberg Germany, Mrs. Valerie PONDAVEN – EEN Business Partnership Consultant, University of Greenwich, UK.
During the two days of the training session there were addressed aspects concerningEuropean policies for the support of SMEs and specific issues regarding thenetwork tools, in order to help the staff within new consortia or coordinator / partner organizations which recently joined the Enterprise Europe Network (members since January 1st 2015) to get familiar with the structures and methodologies specific to the Network and acquire knowledge about procedures and good practices.
The theoretical part of the training was combined with interactive sessions during which there were discussed topics such as: facilitating partnerships, methods to maximize the impact of partnerships for SMEs, best practices for organizing brokerage events and company missions.

The Regional Ro-Boost SMEs consortium is a partner of Enterprise Europe Network and its objective is to develop a support structure for SMEs in the two regions, West and South – West, through which will provide an integrated set of information, support services and consultancy in order to help SMEs to exploit European business development opportunities.
